Prototype 2 Delayed on PC, RADNET Edition Announced


Designed to reward early adopters.


Radical Entertainment announced today that the PC version ofPrototype 2 has been delayed until July 24th. The announcement comes via the game's official Facebook page, where Radical wrote the following:

"Hey all, we just wanted to let you know that the PC version of PROTOTYPE 2 is unfortunately going to be delayed until July 24th. Radical Entertainment has always been extremely dedicated to all our fans, and we just wanted to make sure you heard the news from us FIRST. We'll share more details with you soon."

Meanwhile, Activision announced today that early adopters of the console version of Prototype 2 will have access to a special RADNET Edition of the game. According to a press release, a "limited number of the launch quantities" of Prototype 2 on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 will contain access to RADNET via a redeemable one-time use code. 

For seven weeks following the game's launch, RADNET users will have access to 55 free pieces of additional content, including "in-game Events, Challenges, Avatar Items, Dynamic Themes and Behind-the-Scenes videos, as well as bonus Mutations for Prototype 2's main campaign." Anyone who completes all RADNET challenges will also unlock "the ultimate shape-shifting reward...to be revealed in March 2012." 

Prototype 2 hits stores for Xbox 360 and PS3 on April 24th.
