Google+ users have reached 100 million

10 million user rise in two weeks.

For those keeping track of Google+’s rapidly rising userbase, the social network has recently crossed the 100 million users mark. The news comes third party researcher Paul Allen, who has been tracking down Google+’s userbase ever since the website launch back in June 2011.
This is a rapid rise in numbers, since the website reported more than 90 million users less than two weeks ago. According to Allen, the website has been gaining 750,000 new users since 19th. He also predicted that Google+ will end up with 345 million users by the end of 2012.
If that rate holds steady, Google+ will end the year with 345 million users. But as I have said before, Google has many dials and levers to use this year to increase signups and usage, including its Android 4.0 rollout. I stand by my prediction of at least 400 million users by the end of 2012.”
Is that enough to rival Facebook? Not really, as Facebook reports 845 million users worldwide!
